my group
We got put into groups of 3-4 i was put in a group with Berkay and Shaun. We had to tell eachother who we were and what key skills we have. All three of us are camera shy so we asked if someone was aloud to wear a mask or a costume and we was aloud, this helped the person who was going to be infront of the camera they will feel comfortable, so Berkay said he would but only if someone did it with him Shaun nominated his self.
freaky advert
The first advert we chose was the Phones 4 U advert is a man running away from a zombie, and the man hid behind a tree and the zombie came around telling the man that the Samsung tocco icon is only 59.95 pound on pays you go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrIZnC8q7RQ
The second advert was Metz- judderman. Its about the central character in "Forrest", an advert for Metz. Who is a elf/Jack Frost-like creature, the Judderman waylays innocent travellers and tempts them to taste the alcohol, at which they 'judder' due to its being served cold. The advert was known for scaring children and was voted as the scariest advert of all time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TUOPeNJCK8
Our Product.
Music
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XKg_o1YfTg - brick hitting Shaun's face
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeIhRdR2jsU- starter music
Our product is Butter.
The butters going to be called Silky Smooth Butter. Berkay came up with the whole idea of doing butter he also came up with the slogan 'Don't lay it spread it'. For the advert we decided that if Shaun lies down and that we were going to have a brick (that's a sponge) and drop it on his face, and that we're going to cut it off then show the product, where we would cut it off Shaun's face is going to appear in front of the camera he'll be wearing the brick on his face saying 'Silky Smoooth'
We got a location were we was going to film and took pictures of it. The place we are going to film at it a little park called St Mary's Rest Garden. We had to make sure it wasn't a busy place so we could film better.
Originally Shaun was going to be lying down on the floor but when we went to film the grass was to wet for him to lie down luckily there was a bench near where we was filming so he laid down on the bench. When we got to the park we picked a spot which was a good spot, Berkay climbed the tree with the brick, Shaun held the camera on the floor and Berkay had to drop the brick, it took a while as the brick didn't land on the camera but luckily he managed to get it as close to the camera the best he could. We managed to get fake blood off another group that was filming their advert. Me and Berkay starting putting the blood on Shaun.

OD-Ghost pictures
Owain Davies
Ghost photo.
I have used Photoshop to create a ghost image. The tools i have used on Photoshop are the quick selection, blur and the black and white tool. The background is of a dark corridor and ive used a picture of a boy. I've blurred the boys face to create a creepy ghost look.
My second picture is of a lady in black, shes in the middle of the road thats in the woods. The reason i selected the creepy background is because it has a creepy feel to it. The woman was scary so i used her. I got both pictures from google and imported them into Photoshop.
My third creepy picture ive created is this one, its a cell room with a man in a straight jacket. I also got both images off google i used the quick selection tool to cut out the man and moved him to the corner. Then i blurred him so he also had that ghostly look.

White balance
The color of an object is affected by the lighting conditions under which it is viewed. Our eyes and our brain compensate for different types of light—that's why a white object appears white to us whether it's viewed in sunlight, under overcast skies or indoors under incandescent or fluorescent light. But digital cameras need help to emulate this process, to compensate for different types of lighting and render a white object white.
Rule of thirds
The “Rule of Thirds” one of the first things that budding digital photographers learn about in classes on photography and rightly so as it is the basis for well balanced and interesting shots.
We had to make a storyboard and say what shots we were going to use. I have used
- Ast shot which is zoomed out to set the scene
- Close up which would be to introduced the character
-Ts to get a good look at the character, this shot would be zoomed out and be moved up and down
-pan, this is to see the rest of the characters, the camera action would be zoomed out and be moved from let to right
-Mid shot to get a look at the character speaking, slightly zoomed in
- Extreme close up shot to see the character smile, the camera action would be fully zoomed in.

Car Advert-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiD3QWH4jC4
- Anuncio Toyota Yaris hybrid 2015, the music to the advert is a major key. Toyota used the song the song to invite viewers to fall in love with driving again.
Make-up Advert-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWlPZKXh2R4
- L'Oréal Paris True Match Makeup Commercial 2011, the music to the advert is a minor key. The music is a piano playing a deep tune with Jennifer Lopez talking about how much shes fell in love with the product.
There is two diegetic sounds in this advert and the rest are non-diegetic because there's a guy talking in the background and you cant see him and the music you cant see the singer or band so they are non-diegetic
part 2-
The second half of the day we had to pick a company and find something back about it. I chose Johnson&Johnson, I was shocked to find out they did tested their products on animals. They are also a price-fixed company meaning their prices is only one set price. I found this out on Shop Ethical its a website that helps you choose the right company and this is my photoshop of the brand.

Owain Davies- Clone tool
I have used Photoshop to create Zac Efron into having 5 eyes. I used the Clone Stamp and cloned his eyes.
I have used Photoshop and blended the lion in to Zac Efron.
This is just a try out which went wrong.
This was my first try with Photoshop, I got the picture off the internet. Then I cloned one of the eyes and moved it towards the forehead of the cat. It was a bit difficult as I had to make sure I didn't go outside of the eye.

What have I learned in this lesson? In this lesson I have leant how to use Photoshop, this lesson has helped me learn the basics in using Photoshop. I've never used Photoshop before so I'm very proud of my outcome. In this lesson I have only learnt how to use the clone tool, hopefully I'll learn other techniques and be very good at it.

Lesson 2-
Today in lesson we was given a quick task of trying to figure why Nike use the slogan 'Just Do It' and why other companies use the slogans they use. This helped me understand more about why companies use slogans, the reason why companies use slogans for their products is because they're catchy and it makes the customers remember their company and make customers want to buy more of their products. Slogans are used to be memorized, some companies find it difficult to find a perfect slogan for their restaurant / products or what ever they may be selling a perfect example of this is McDonalds they kept changing their slogan until 2003 when they came up with "I'm lovin' it".This according to the company was an ideal representation of their brand as they want each client to feel the same after using there service.
Some of the companies I have picked are-
KFC- 'Finger licking good'. This slogan to me is very catchy and it connotes that the food you eat at KFC is that tasty that you will start licking your fingers afterwards to get more taste.
Subway- 'Eat fresh' Their slogan is telling their customers that the food is freshly served, and that its not left overs from a different day and that they renew the food everyday. This will make the customers satisfied and feel safe and secure eating fresh food.
Coca-Cola- 'Open happiness' This slogan persuades people that once you open the bottle or the can that you are going to be happy and lively.
Ebay- 'Buy it, sell it, love it' This sloegan is really catchy as it telling the customers that it is so easy to buy items, sell items and you can love it. It is that easy you can do it with three easy steps.
Then we were put in groups. In my group there was me, Linda, Callum and Kazia.
We had to make an advert and create a product. All groups were given 3 pieces of paper which had our task on. My group was given the age group of 13-15 year of boys, our product was Shampoo and our advert was on an online banner.
My group made the decision to make a Fast and Furious bottle as lads that age group are into films like that. So what we did was make the bottle shaped out of the car that Paul Walker drove in the last Fast and Furious which is called Furious 7. The reason why we decided to use Paul Walker's car that he drove in the film is so that when parents/guardians/carers brought the bottle of shampoo that 50p went to the charity that Paul's daughter Meadow and Vin Diesel decided to create which is called The Paul Walker Foundation. The foundation is for ocean animals as Paul had the love and care for ocean animals, so that's another reason why we decided to use Fast and Furious for our shampoo product.

Memling even amplified the terrifying effect of the outrageous scene by adding the banner saying: “In hell there is no redemption."

Though bizarre in appearance, the Scream was originally inspired by an evening walk in which Munch witnessed a “blood red” setting sun while perceiving a sense in which nature was screaming.

-Artist Don Kenn has taken the Post-It note, an everyday item that is used in countless offices around the world, and turned them into the canvas for eerie, creepy, yet oddly charming monster and creature artworks.
Ranging from gigantic beasts looming over mountains and oceans to specters, spiders, clowns, and more, these images are perfect nightmare fuel!
http://mentalfloss.com/article/31477/13-disturbing-pieces-art-historyAndy Warhol is most famous for his pop art pictures of soup cans and Marilyn Monroe, but he also dabbled in some darker works, including his chilling piece, Big Electric Chair. The painting is based on a photograph of the former execution chamber at Sing Sing prison in New York. For more daring readers, Warhol also released artworks featuring police photos of suicides and car fatalities.

Francis Bacon-1946. Described as either one of the greatest painters of the 20th century or a complete madman, depending on who you ask, Francis Bacon's work was nothing if not creepy. Painting, containing various images reminiscent of a butcher shop, was created completely by accident, according to the artist himself. Originally intended to be a chimpanzee standing in tall grass and a bird landing nearby, Bacon said that he then unintentionally painted what you see above.
